Hello all! I have recently gotten complaints from multiple sources that my dear husband is just too inconsistent with his blogging... and while he is brilliant and entertaining, I challenged him that I could have a prettier, more consistently updated blog. I've never done this before, and really, I'm not very good at keeping up with things that require any maintenance (it's hard enough for me to keep up with clipping my fingernails...). But what the heck, I'm always up for a challenge.
My fun little family and I live in Salt Lake City, Utah. We are lucky to be living with my husband's Grandma right now, and we have been her very own basement dwellers for almost a year now. I work as a Housing Counselor at the Community Development Corp. of Utah. It's a great place to work, with lots of fun people. I mostly do foreclosure prevention counseling, and I also teach first time home buyer education classes and do pre-purchase counseling. It can be stressful sometimes ("will you please save my house and keep me and my kids from being homeless??" No pressure there), but it's rewarding and I really do love it most of the time. My sexy husband, Alex, is a stay at home dad and a student in the CHEF program. He is a great cook (and yes, I know, I am a VERY lucky wife!), and it's exciting for him to be getting more into the Culinary Arts program
Alex and I have been married for about 5 1/2 years, and we have one beautiful little girl that we like to call Mya. She is almost 20 months old, and she is a spunky little angel. She has officially mastered the highest level of cuteness, and she is currently working on mastering new levels of naughtiness. Mommy accidentally taught her the "C" word recently (c-r-a-p). Oops. Now I just try not to laugh when she says it, and we try not to say it in front of her anymore! She's like a 35 pound sponge.
Nothing real exciting is going on in my life right now. I think I prefer things that way actually. I have been blessed with so much, and I am very grateful to be able to say that my life is wonderful, even if it is somewhat uneventful!
